Isabel Dickinson : Ceramicist and Textile Artist

My inspiration comes from my local surroundings within the Kent countryside. I work from lots of organic forms including plants, textures, seed pods, sea pods, bark, flowers and a huge variety of other forms.

My photo
Isabel Dickinson
My name is Isabel and I graduated from DeMontFort University in 2015 with a BA Hons in Design Crafts. Im now back at home and have my own pottery studio at Sandhurst Farm Forge and share a studio with the rest of my family. Using porcelain and Earthenware clay creating unique and quirky handbuilt sculptures, thrown work and ceramic jewellery. My practice incorporates multiple decorative techniques, involving texture and form through hand illustration, burnouts of plants. I also explore working with felt work using coloured marino wool. This year I will be starting my own lessons in my studio!
